This striking Centaurea cyanus, commonly known as the cornflower, has been carefully pressed and framed by hand in our studio in the Netherlands. With its vivid blue petals and wild, airy form, it brings a sense of freshness and lightness to any space.
The name “cornflower” comes from its natural habitat, fields of grain. For centuries, these delicate blue blooms grew freely among rows of wheat and rye, adding unexpected color to golden harvests. Farmers once saw them as a symbol of abundance and simplicity, a quiet companion to the rhythms of rural life.
Framed in a custom matte black 7mm x 20mm aluminum box frame with UV-protected glass, this botanical artwork preserves the fleeting beauty of a flower once scattered by wind and soil. A gentle reminder of nature’s spontaneity and charm.
We suggest keeping your pressed flowers away from direct sunlight to slow the natural fading process, allowing them to age gracefully over time.
Framed dimensions: A5 - 21cm x 15cm x 2cm
